Straightforward Wills
For many people, the Wills we prepare are straightforward. As an example, the Will appoints the spouse/partner as the executor and beneficiary and in the event of their death, appoints some of the children as executors and leaves the whole of the estate equally between the children. Wills like these still need careful attention to detail, yet are reasonably quick to advise on and complete.
More Complex Wills
But as in life, things are not always that simple. It is common for our Wills and Estate team to prepare more Complex Wills .
Wills for blended families, for example, where a husband and wife or partners were married previously, have children from previous relationships and children of their own, are much more complex. And we do these too.
Some Wills need more detailed estate planning tools to be deployed; including testamentary trusts, accounting for partnerships, companies, superannuation, farms, businesses and substantial assets with family trusts or other complex arrangements. And we are also expert at these.
In many cases it requires our Team to work with financial planners, accountants and other tax experts to ensure your Estate Plan is optimised for best effect. It's never a matter of one size fits all.
